A Practiced Art

Has love become so familiar

and its vows so common?

A tentative  or a practiced art.

The cupid strikes and electrons revive

u chat, or tweet or may be then meet

hold hands

lock numbers first instead of looks,

few promises are  hooked,

gifts are at stake

desparate to indulge, togetherness rakes

get drunk with lust instead of feelings

soon love attracts no more interest

and the beloved holds no charm

the papery thin walls of dreams that were gathered

finally calm

again a click, again heart slips and you fall

for yet another game

Oh lame, lost love!

lie like alms in a  beggars hand

is bought in changes

drains  through  impasse derelict streets

orphaned love finds another deflated heart

a temporary nest, or a shack to rest for a while.

  1. The last lines are beautiful. Your style is nice, sometimes deceptive (in a good way)
